UnderSee Explorer can work in 2 modes:

Real Time mode - where you have a laptop onboard and can begin recording data points while contours are being drawn in real time, As you move around your area, you can see where you may want to gather more data...or drop a lure right away. Keep recording because the contours will just keep getting better!

Import Mode - In case you don't want to pack a computer in the boat, most GPS/Sounders allow you to record tracks (say to an SD card). You can bring this data back to the home or office and import the data into UnderSee Explorer to instantly generate stunning, highly detailed contour maps.
